The Backstory and Framing of RSEC

The RSEC Team have combined between us over 80 years experience as successful Educators of Color. After a careful review of state and national data around the absence of minority educators within schools we analyzed the challenges  faced during the week following the nationwide protests centered on the death of George Floyd in May 2020, and decided  that instead of complaining about what was not happening, we needed to do something. If indeed there was truly a need for Educators of Color on the frontlines in the classrooms, to support not just Students of Color, but ALL students, then maybe, just maybe, we had the solution. Thus the RSEC agency was birthed in June 2020. We got to work and began formulating the focus, scope and direction the agency would take.
Recruiting, Retaining and Supporting Educators of Color is the frame we have established to acquire our desired results.
